I FEEL YOU!
Kjersti Gjestrud and I (an artist at the Stadel) got to talking about how we miss our wardrobes and especially our shoes, since we both come from different parts of the world. When going to school in totally differently place and knowing it’s probably temporary you have to pick and choose your favorite pieces to take the trek with you. I think it gets to me the most in the summer when I romanticize about those novelty pieces in my closet back home in Toronto….”oh - fill in the blank- would be prefect right now!” But then again your staple wardrobes get’s you to really exercise your key pieces, save money and really value the things you have. Also know there will always be another amazing dress or perfect pairing out there for you to find, so no you won’t die without it. Oh yeah and lately the options at h+m aren’t so bad to get your quick and cheap fix.
If your off to a new destination pack lightly and allow yourself a couple special pieces but most of all leave room for something new!!
