FOR WINTER WEATHER
I think and yes this is only me talking and yes this is a generalization but for the most part Canadians or at least my fellow Toronto-ians have a knack for complaining about the weather. Cold or warm - what have you. But weirdest thing is that when it is cold we don’t really dress for the weather! Until recent years winter weather wear has become hip! Usually everyone tries to layer every...

People watching at Kiliwatch
One of the best shops for vintage shopping on the run and a definite must of any Paris trip is KILIWATCH. They have the best selection of vintage from all the vintage stores I’ve ever been in… like I mean the world …. I’m serious! So go go go, even it’s just to people watch.  Coralie + Lola caught my eye with their amazing hair and of course their style! Coralie...

GEMS IN THE RUFF
Hiding in the market of Porte de Clignancourt is a pretties of jewelry shops. My mouth honestly salivates while browsing through each vignette. The whole time fantasizing how I would wear it and where I would go. I have to start coming up with events and start making purchases. Is it unrealistic to make this shop my only stop on my future wedding registrar?  Beyond the beauty of gems the owners...

Dinner at the Palais
One of my favorite places to visit in Paris is Palais de Tokyo a place dedicated to modern and contemporary art. My travel friend I took an amazing culinary class which was part of a temporary exhibit, which I will definitely post photos of soon! It’s also where I bumped into Mika and Jiyoung on their way to dinner.  Jiyoung’s shiny Diane Von Furstenberg pumps. Mika in her...

LIVING LOLITA IN PARIS
As they say Paris truly is the pulse of fashion not only because it is at the epicenter of all that is luxury fashion but because beyond that it still has room to hold various fashion sub-cultures. It’s also where I met Chloe and Helene who are fans of Lolita fashion. The infamous look that spawned from certain regions of Japan and was more so exposed to western on lookers by the popular...

BUCKLES AND STRAPS
I find myself attracted to a boot with a great shape just like the perfect coat should be tailored to your body. Maybe a nice leather boot could enhance the shape of your legs, perhaps? Her Ralph Lauren boots allude to the infamous riding boot but dressed up with hardware made with traditional good quality crying to be worn out. Strutting in her RALPH LAUREN BOOTS

HER WET UMBER BOOTS
Walking through the alley’s of the Porte de Clignancourt market there’s always an air of excitement because at any turn you might bump into something really special. I love rummaging through things but more so waiting for that stimulating sense that is conjured when my eyes catch something I just have to have. This trip I splurged on vintage jewelry! But I’ll get to that for...

WARM WINTER BLANKET
This is probably the cutest winter cape I’ve seen all season. I love the idea of wrapping yourself in a blanket and pulling it off as a coat, so this quilted cape brings both worlds together (this is not an open window for outer-wear snuggie!) what do you think of the look?

happy birthday to me
My head is bursting  with the joy of the unknown. My heart is expanding a thousand fold. Every cell,  taking wings,  flies about the world. All seek separately the many faces of my love. -rumi

Ever miss someone who ................
Last weekend I checked out the MMK’s Not in Fashion exhibit which was clearly over shadowed by a juxtaposed exhibit that was a bit over saturated with nudity. Which I don’t have a problem with, but for once I’d like to find myself at a contemporary museum where the human body is not exploited then maybe just maybe art will be provoking again.  So it was obvious that the...

Psquared song of the day I’d like to think it’s a gift to be able to sit back and see the beauty in the sadness (as morbid that sounds.) When I listen to possibility by Lykke Li it’s the silent moments or the long unexpected gap between voice that I get lost in reflection. She’s got a beautiful way of singing from the bottom of her gut accompanied with graceful gestures. Or maybe its that raspy...
